The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) conducts a top-to-bottom strategic review every four years, considering some of the most pressing questions facing our organization and the homeland security enterprise. The Department also issues a Strategic Plan for the Department to provide guidance to accomplish strategic outcomes. This conversation forum is a key contributor to this review.
Periodically, we will post questions and topics related to our strategy development work. DHS staff will moderate and contribute to discussions on occasion, incorporating your key ideas into the strategy review process. You can post your own ideas, comment on other people's ideas, and vote on those you think are best. Our finished products—the QHSR and Strategic Plan—will be presented to Congress as required by law and will be accessible to the public on the DHS website.
